The Radisson Hotel Group has secured seven new properties in tier one areas across Italy.
The transaction is part of the company’s aggressive expansion strategy.
This year will see the opening of two premium lifestyle Radisson Collection hotels in Milan and Venice, as well as the debut of Radisson Individuals, the Radisson Hotel Group’s newest brand, with two properties in Piedmont and Sicily, two new Radisson hotels in Ferrara and Nola, and Radisson Blu’s latest hotel in Florence.
“I am very proud to continue building our reputation in this key market,” said Chema Basterrechea, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Radisson Hotel Group.
Basterrechea commented that in just a few years, the hotel group has gone from three to nearly 20 hotels.
He added, “We are extremely grateful to our local partners and see these openings as a positive signal for the recovery of the hotel industry in Italy.”
Exquisite Radisson Collection hotels will debut this summer in Venice and Milan, just in time for the reopening of international travel, as declared by the Italian government recently.
