Qatar has announced the launch of a website for FIFA World Cup fans to reserve accommodations.

The event will take place from November 21st to December 18th this year, with a total of 64 matches taking place across eight venues.

Tickets are currently available on a first-come, first-served basis here.

The Qatar Accommodation Agency has “invited” all ticket holders to “apply for accommodation.”

The organisation will serve as the primary booking platform for fans staying during the tournament, offering the most extensive range of accommodation options at a variety of price points.

Although fans are welcome to book their accommodation through hotel/holiday websites or other means, the QAA portal is recommended because it will have the most availability of accommodation options at reasonable prices, according to a statement.

There will be a variety of lodging options available, including hotels, apartments, villas, fan villages, and cruise ship cabins.

All FIFA World Cup fans will also need to obtain a Hayya Card, which is part of the Fan ID system.

This is a digital or physical card that contains all information for fans’ visits, such as match tickets, lodging information, and Covid-19 status.

A valid Hayya Card will also provide free public transportation on match days as well as smart journey planning (via the Hayya app).
