Low-cost carrier Eurowings is expanding its networks with a brand-new operating base in Prague this October. From October 31, the German airline will station two aircraft in Prague and offer direct flights to leading European destinations, including Barcelona, Milan, Copenhagen, Athens and the Canary Islands.
The carrier will initially station two Airbus A320 aircraft in Prague before adding a third A320 before the summer of 2022. The move proves that airlines are beginning to gain confidence in the resurgence of the industry this year.
For the first time Eurowings will have an established a base in the Czech Republic, with the carrier set to offer “non-stop connections from Prague to attractive business and holiday destinations throughout Europe.”
At present, the Lufthansa Group subsidiary offers flights to over 100 destinations, primarily holiday spots.

Eurowings claims to have created over a hundred new jobs with the opening of its new operating base, apart from added impetus to the Czech aerospace industry. The new operating base in Prague will the carrier’s 10th European operating hub.
The carrier will fly from Prague to several European cities, starting October 31, including Barcelona, Milan, Athens, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Tel Aviv and Birmingham.
Starting June 22, customers will be able to book flights through the Eurowings website or app. One-way tickets will start at 29.99 EUR ($36).
Eurowings has received several awards recognizing its excellent track record of punctuality and customer service. The carrier took home triple gold at the 2021 German Customer Awards recently for “best price/performance ratio,” “best customer satisfaction,” and “best customer service.”
