easyJet has launched four new domestic flights and have added more seats from Scotland to serve the rising demand for domestic travel. These flights will give travellers in Scotland more opportunities to reconnect with friends and family across the nation or book a much-needed break to explore more of the UK this summer.

Starting July, easyJet will operate new flights from Inverness to Newquay in Cornwall, from Aberdeen to Bristol and Manchester and from Edinburgh to Manchester.

From July 2, the carrier will also added thousands of extra seats on sale across its existing routes from Belfast to Edinburgh which will operate 22 times per week and to Glasgow which operates 20 times a week.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager said, “We know our customers can’t wait to be reunited with friends and family or have more opportunity to explore the UK so these new routes from Scotland should prove popular and will further strengthen our UK domestic network, providing customers with even more choice as we operate more seats on domestic flights from Scotland than any other airline. We also know it is important to our customers to be reunited with loved ones overseas so we continue to urge the UK government to add more countries to the Green list – which can be done safely – to make this possible.”

“We continue to have some of the most flexible policies currently in place so customers can book with confidence and change their plans if they need to, making travel as easy as possible this summer,” she added.

“It is great to see easyJet growing its domestic offering and presence at Aberdeen International Airport with a Manchester and Bristol route,” commented Mark Beveridge, Operations Director at Aberdeen International Airport.

“These routes strengthen our connectivity in the north-east of Scotland and bringing back business safely is a key priority at our airport.

“We have already this year seen the restart of the popular Gatwick route with easyJet in May which was warmly welcomed by our passengers and stakeholders.”

All travellers who book flights with easyJet will benefit from flexible booking policies under the airlines ‘Protection Promise’ which guarantees customers who book now the option to change their bookings without a change fee, if their plans change. Customers can amend their booking at any time up to two hours before departure, or apply for a voucher providing even more last-minute flexibility.

Unlike other airlines, easyJet has no restrictions on dates or destination; travellers can rebook on any flights currently on sale up to the end of September 2022.

easyJet’s main priority is the safety and wellbeing of all its passengers and crew and the airline has put several biological safety measures in place onboard, which includes daily enhanced cabin disinfection effective in protecting against COVID-19 for at least 24 hours and mandatory mask wearing for customers and crew. All easyJet aircraft are fitted with HEPA filters which filter 99.97% of airborne contaminants in the cabin, including viruses and bacteria.
