MakeMyTrip has launched an initiative called ‘Stays for Saviours’ to offer support to the health care community during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The initiative offers temporary accommodation to the medical community. The initiative is in partnership with hotel chains and independent hotels that are all working together to support healthcare workers.

Medical staff can access 900 properties across 200 cities

It will enable medical practitioners to discover and book from over 900 hotel properties across 200 cities in India on the MakeMyTrip app. Speaking about the initiative, Deep Kalra, Executive Chairman, MakeMyTrip Limited said, “The global outbreak of COVID-19 is making us live through extraordinary times and the exceptional service of front line workers who are fighting this on behalf of humanity needs everyone’s support and encouragement.

He continued: “We are grateful for the courage shown by healthcare workers and we want to assist them by providing comfortable and subsidized accommodation options to these heroic first responders. In solidarity with their sense of service we want to do our part in making it a little easier for them to find temporary accommodation that suits their needs at this point of time.”
