VisitBritain Teams Up With UK Government To Introduce Safety Protocols

VisitBritain is collaborating with the U.K. government to create a common Industry Quality Mark initiative. This is an effort to protect the visitor’s health and safety, once COVID-19 restrictions ease. Details of the plan will be announced in the coming days, VisitBritain said.

The plan is designed to reassure visitors that businesses are reopening with safety protocols in place

Allison Jungkurth, VisitBritain’s communications coordinator, USA, said, “Just this morning, the Prime Minister announced that most of England’s hospitality industry will reopen on July 4, with the rest of the countries scheduled to follow throughout the month.”

Since June 8, all international arrivals into England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are required to self-isolate for 14 days. “This rule will be re-evaluated every three weeks with the next one on June 29. Similarly, many of Britain’s lockdown regulations are being regularly reviewed in line with the latest expert recommendations,” she said.

“Our travel trade newsletter is a monthly communication sharing news, story ideas, and key resources to help the industry keep up with the latest travel guidance in Britain,” said Jungkurth.
