Adventure tour operators Exodus Travels, TrekAmerica, and Grand American Adventures have extended the suspension of their tours until 31st August due to the global outbreak of coronavirus.
What are the alternate plans for customers?
- The operator said customers will get an ABTA bonded refund credit note which will be valid by January 2021, for their tour till March 2022. If any customer doesn’t make any booking by January then their credit notes can be exchanged for refunds.
- Also, if any customer has already paid the full amount then before the completion of 42 days the customer can transfer his travel plans to a future date or can substitute his trip.
- If any customer plans to cancel his trip and travel again within the next 42 days, the amount will be transferred to the next booking of his choice.
Safety measures to ensure a safe trip
TrekAmerica has forwarded guidelines to its local partners and tour leaders in order to make them aware of the symptoms of COVID-19 and its standard protective measures.
They have advised customers to have a self- screening before traveling and to suspend their trip if they have any symptoms. If needed, the company will cancel or make necessary changes to ensure everyone’s safety.Â
