Portugal has launched a dedicated Covid-19 travel insurance for visitors planning a holiday in Portugal. Promoted by RNA Assistance Insurance, this initiative is available on a dedicated website.
What aspects does the travel insurance cover
The Covid-19 Travel Insurance extends to the national territory and covers. The insurance covers medical, pharmaceutical, surgical, and hospital expenses associated with Covid-19. It also covers the expenses of interruption, cancellation, and extension of travel due to Covid-19. This is an initiative that Visit Portugal is raising awareness of the security of the destination in the international markets. The goal of the initiative is to ensure visitors can travel safely and with confidence across Portugal.
Travelers who plan to travel to the country can register for free on the health passport website that guarantees access to Covid-19 testing. This enables access to high-quality urgent health care and check-ups at prices previously fixed and at five different typologies in the hospital and clinic network. Â
