Qatar Airways Group, the Official Airline Sponsor of the Web Summit Qatar, helped kick off the Middle East’s largest technology conference with a unique preview of the five-star airline’s latest innovative travel technology solutions.

These featured an exclusive reveal of a prompt-less Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience meant to effortlessly assist customers in discovering their dream vacations throughout Qatar Airways’ broad network of over 170 destinations.

Thierry Antinori, Qatar Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, stated, “Qatar Airways is helping push the boundaries of what to expect from the travel experience of the future. When it comes to digital innovation, our approach is to always focus on the ways in which we can gain advantages for our passengers and employees along with operational efficiencies by using technology.”

Attendees visiting the Qatar Airways exhibit at the Web Summit, which is being held for the first time in Qatar, were given a glimpse into the future of travel through the airline’s latest technologies on show.

The new Generative AI experience aims to make travel planning more convenient and personalized. Customers’ travel preferences are grasped through frictionless visual interactions and an interactive 3D map, so removing the need for manual searches and detailed text input. This initiative is part of Qatar Airways’ continued efforts to push the frontiers of travel by improving passenger comfort and convenience at every stage of the journey.

Qatar Airways, a leader in industry innovation and digital adoption, was just named the World’s Best Airline Website by the World Travel Technology Awards. The airline excels in identifying and responding to emerging passenger trends, and it has also launched an in-house tool that allows its award-winning cabin personnel to provide tailored experiences for passengers.

Qatar Airways Privilege Club has also recently expanded its offerings with the newly launched Privilege Club Collection platform, which is open to all members. The site is poised to change the way members spend their Avios by providing exciting possibilities to bid on a selection of curated packages.

In recognition of Qatar Airways’ creative digital workplace culture, the airline recently received two Human Resources awards: the “Brilliance Award for Employee Engagement” and the “Gold Award for Use of Technology in Internal Communications” at the 2024 International Brilliance Awards.
