The MSC group has revealed luxury cruise brand, Explora Journeys. In an announcement made on Thursday, they announced their entry into the market of luxury cruises with the launch of their new brand: Explora Journeys.

MSC Group has revealed luxury cruise brand Explora Journeys. Explora 1, will be the first of four luxury ships under this new brand name and will be built by a world-renowned Italian Shipbuilding company Fincantieri based in Trieste, Italy. Explora 1 is expected to set sail in 2023, followed by the other 3 ships which will be delivered by 2024, 2025 and 2026 by Fincantieri. The shipbuilding company has cut steel for Explora 1 on 10th June at its yard in Monfalcone, Italy. “Building a luxury brand that will redefine the cruise experience and create a category of its own has been a long-held vision of mine and my family,” said Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of MSC Group’s cruise business and broader passenger division. “Inspired by our personal travel wishes, Explora Journeys will be an ocean escape like no other, allowing guests to relax, make memories, and cherish the time at sea with their loved ones. After all, time is the ultimate luxury.

This fleet of luxury ships will have 461 oceanfront suites and residences, and guests will be able to enjoy views of the sea from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The cruise will also have personal private terraces for the suites. The floor space of the suites will start at 377 square feet, making them the most spacious under this category in the industry, according to MSC. The cruise will also have 14 indoor decks, outdoor decks will have a total of 64 private cabanas and three pools as well. There will also be a fourth pool, with a retractable roof so that people can enjoy it during any weather. This ship has been designed with water as its focal point, as along with the pools, it will also have indoor and outdoor whirlpool baths.  The cruise will also offer nine types of restaurants offering different cuisines with flexible timings. There will be lounges, indoor and outdoor spas, fitness areas where guests will have the opportunity to enjoy group classes too. There will be personal trainers available onboard.  Along with all of these amenities for the guests, the company has made sure that this line of luxury cruises will be equipped with the latest green technologies, and will also be designed to adapt to more sustainable forms of energy.

The Explora Journey cruises will offer voyages that will start at 7 nights in a length and the destinations will comprise of Saint Tropez and Bordeaux in France, Reykjavik in Iceland, Bozcaada in Turkey, and Norway’s Lofoten Islands.
