Kempinski Hotels is pleased to announce that it has been selected a 2024 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award winner for the third time in a row.

The Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) was established in 2007 to recognize and celebrate firms that make employee engagement a genuine priority and reflect it at the heart of their culture. The Award recognizes thriving firms that have achieved world-class performance by making engagement a key component of their business strategy.

According to Gallup data, although just 21% of employees worldwide are engaged, organizations that receive the Exceptional Workplace Award have engagement levels of more than 70%. This is because organizations that apply the GEWA continuously prioritize people and their values in decision-making.

“Becoming a 3 times GEWA winner demonstrates our commitment towards embracing a culture that revolves around the experience and wellbeing of our people,” says Melissa Salibi, Chief Human Resources Officer at Kempinski Hotels and a member of the management board.

She added, “Yet again we have submitted a comprehensive application, detailing our people strategy and how we bring that to life with engaging best practices. Doing the same as previous years is not conducive to winning, even if we talk about consistent and sustainable practices. What the panel of judges, selected amongst leading workplace scientists and experts, want to see is what we have done in addition to previous years. How we put in place new people-related initiatives that contribute to the high engagement levels in the company.”

She went on to say that in 2024, they intend to take the focus on engagement to new heights and become world-class in the Gallup Luxury Database. The hotel group will aid its aims by providing Kempinski-specific training and establishing a network of Continuous Improvement Agen
