JW Marriott, one of Marriott Bonvoy’s 30 exceptional hotel brands, has announced the inauguration of the JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an, a remarkable destination with six UNESCO World Heritage cultural and historical sites.

Incorporating the beauty of the ancient city of Xi’an with the sophistication and luxury of the JW Marriott brand, the hotel provides exceptional service and a commitment to holistic well-being, empowering guests to nurture relationships and revitalise mind, body, and spirits.

“We are thrilled to debut JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an and expand the JW brand portfolio into a destination where history and culture combine with a forward-looking modernity,” said Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader for JW Marriott. He added that true to its brand DNA, the JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an carries on the legacy of its founder, J. Willard Marriott, and creates a tranquil, luxurious space that offers multiple paths to well-being, where guests can nourish their souls while exploring one of China’s great ancient capitals.

“JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an offers a balance of thoughtful luxury and enriching experiences for sophisticated, mindful guests who seek to be fully present wherever they go,” explained Philip Kang, General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an. “We look forward to welcoming our guests to explore and discover beautiful Xi’an, one of China’s Four Great Ancient Capitals with its fascinating blend of timeless culture, as they foster meaningful connections and experience every moment to the fullest.”

The JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an is ideally situated in the central business district of the Xi’an Economic and Technological Development Zone, close to a variety of renowned attractions such as the Daming Palace National Heritage Park and the Ancient City Wall. The site of the Terracotta Warriors, which is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is approximately 40 kilometres from the hotel and is readily accessible from the city centre. Both the Xi’an North Railway Station and Xi’an Xianyang International Airport can be reached in less than thirty minutes by car.

The hotel’s interiors, designed by HBA Hong Kong, reflect the over 3,000-year-old rich history of Xi’an by transporting visitors along the Silk Road through curated artworks and thoughtful details. In the first-floor arrival foyer, a modern installation depicting an archaic carriage evokes the historical significance of Xi’an to travellers from bygone eras. The hotel has 333 guest accommodations, 13 of which are suites with contemporary amenities. On the 25th through 37th floors of the hotel, all guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the city. From the 38th floor hotel lobby, visitors can view the Qin Ling Mountains, also known as the “dragon’s vein of China.” The JW Executive Lounge, located on the 36th floor, is an exclusive private space for leisure and business guests to unwind or work.

Two restaurants and a lounge offer a variety of nutritious and nourishing options for guests to choose from. Jin Wei Court Chinese Restaurant features the finest of Cantonese cuisine, such as Cantonese soup, as well as popular local dishes, providing guests with a dining experience that focuses on healthy, reviving alternatives for body and mind. JW Kitchen, located on the 38th floor, provides visitors with à la carte and buffet dining options, live cooking stations such as a noodle bar and authentic local and international cuisines. On the same floor, the Lobby Lounge serves handcrafted cocktails and afternoon refreshments with a view of the entire city.

During their stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an, guests are encouraged to practise mindfulness and cultivate connections through holistic experiences and tranquil spaces. The brand’s signature JW Garden provides a tranquil space to interact with nature, as well as fresh ingredients for the hotel’s dining establishments and cooking classes. Spa by JW is an oasis of peace and tranquilly where guests can unwind and rejuvenate, while the 24-hour fitness centre and indoor infinity-heated swimming pool offer vantage points from which to appreciate the cityscape.

The hotel provides a total of 3,250 square feet of multipurpose space for hosting business and social events. Both the 1,100-square-meter Yongning Ballroom and the 800-square-meter Changle Ballroom lack pillars and feature artwork inspired by the local culture. The event spaces are outfitted with cutting-edge audiovisual technology and supported by a dedicated banqueting staff that brings to life the brand’s dedication to highly choreographed, anticipatory service. In addition, eight flexible function spaces and meeting rooms are available for smaller events.
