A Hyatt affiliate has signed into a franchise agreement with La Manga Club, S.L. (an affiliate of Grupo Inversor Hesperia) for the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort, as announced by Hyatt Hotels Corporation. The renowned 192-room resort is scheduled to premiere as the Grand Hyatt brand in Spain by the middle of 2023, following extensive renovations. The decision supports Hyatt’s ambitious aspirations to build its luxury brands in major growing regions across Europe, in locations that are important to guests and World of Hyatt members.
Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort is situated in a secluded location on the Mediterranean coast, at the heart of the famed enclave of La Manga Club in Murcia, Spain, widely regarded as one of the most popular sports and leisure destinations in Southern Europe. As part of a significant refurbishment scheduled for completion in the spring of 2023, the hotel’s 192 guestrooms, including a 1,679-square-foot Royal Suite and six additional suites, will be redesigned to match the brand’s signature vivid design and distinctive architecture. New culinary choices, such as a sushi bar and a gastronomy restaurant with a focus on promoting local ingredients through international cuisines, will also be added.
“Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort will offer the modern traveller enriching luxury and lifestyle experiences and will mark an important milestone in our impressive luxury brand growth in Europe,” said Felicity Black-Roberts, vice president of development for Europe at Hyatt. “This will be our third collaboration with Grupo Inversor Hesperia in Spain, building on our lasting relationships with leading owners and the value of our diverse and dynamic brand portfolio.”
Jordi Ferrer, CEO of Hesperia said, “It’s an enormous thrill to work with Hyatt again and to introduce the Grand Hyatt brand to Spain. Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort will deliver an abundance of options for high-class travelers looking for unparalleled splendor and luxury experiences while visiting Murcia.”
Grand Hyatt Manga Club and Resort will be situated amidst 1,384 acres of lush greenery, with access to the surrounding wildlife, and in close proximity to the natural landmarks Calblanqe Natural Park and Mar Menor lagoon, in keeping with the brand’s vision of being a captivating destination within a destination. Three championship-level 18-hole golf courses, huge outdoor tennis facilities, and the La Manga Club Football Center, the current home of Cartagena FC, are among the hotel’s exceptional features that will establish a standard for sporting offers in the region.
The hotel’s expansive spa area will encourage complete relaxation, with two new adult-only pools offering breathtaking ocean views. Guests can take use of this breathtaking backdrop in one of the numerous indoor and outdoor event venues.
Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort will be a perfect place to organise a memorable event, from meetings to conferences and weddings, amongst the thriving landscape, with up to 13,863 square feet of available space.
Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort will be the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Spain and will be followed in 2025 by the previously announced Grand Hyatt Lanzarote. Grand Hyatt La Manga Club and Resort and Grand Hyatt Lanzarote will join famous European hotels such as Grand Hyatt Berlin, Grand Hyatt Athens, and Grand Hyatt Istanbul in the portfolio.
