Hyatt has announced the reopening of Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, one of its “ Unbound Collection” a compilation of one-of-a-kind hotels from historic gems to revitalizing retreats.
Hôtel du Palais which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean is a symbolic jewel with the recognition “Palace of France”. This former Imperial Residence was built in 1854 by Napoleon III for his wife Empress Eugenie de Montijo.
The Renovated Hotel while modernizing certain elements to enhance Guest experience has embellished its unique and unconventional splendour, respecting its history and legend which is reflected in the unique furnishings, rare artifacts and refined tapestry.

A majority of its 86 guestrooms and 56 suites have been meticulously restored retaining the property’s original architecture and history to reflect the palace’s iconic past in French history. Guestrooms on the top floor are highlighted in nautical themes reminiscent of cruise ships with rounded windows and portholes.
La Rotonde , the Hotel’s Restaurant will take your taste-buds on a gastronomic journey , led by chef Aurélien Largeau, inspired culinary creations from the Pays Basque region. The Napoleon III Bar offers an intimate, sophisticated atmosphere.
Imperial Spa spans over 32,000 square feet and is spread over four floors.

Hôtel du Palais will be the eighth hotel in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Europe,joining the Hôtel du Louvre in Paris and Hôtel Martinez in Cannes, in France, The Wellem in Dusseldorf, Hotel SOFIA Barcelona, Hotell Reisen in Stockholm, Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, Great Scotland Yard Hotel in London.
