Nikos Chardalias, Governor of Greece’s Attica Region, has praised the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai for combining all tourist and travel companies, airlines, and industry stakeholders from across the world under one roof.

The Governor of Attica, speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the sidelines of his visit to the Greek pavilion at ATM, which opened today at the Dubai World Trade Centre, emphasized the opportunities for collaboration between his region and the Emirate of Dubai in areas such as luxury tourism, including yachting.

He emphasized the strong relationship between the UAE and Greece, citing Attica’s role in restructuring the local economy, fostering innovation and technology, and tourism development plans, as well as potential cooperation with numerous nations across the world.

He emphasized the historical significance of the region, which includes the Greek capital Athens and the modern administrative region of Attica, which is larger than the historical region and includes Megaris as part of the regional unit of West Attica, the Saronic Islands and Cythera, as well as the municipality of Troizinia on the Peloponnesian mainland.

It is worth noting that Attica’s history is inextricably related to that of Athens, which was one of the most prominent cities in classical times.
