Finnair is introducing new direct flights between Helsinki, Finland and Mumbai, India.
Flights to Mumbai will initially start thrice weekly. In November, the frequency of flights to the renowned Indian city will increase to four per week.
Customers will experience Finnair’s state-of-the-art A330, which offers Business Class and Economy Class seating options.
The new route to Mumbai inaugurates Finnair’s second service to India; the airline already flies daily to New Delhi, the country’s capital.
Finnair’s India General Manager, Sakari Romu, stated, “We are very excited to start our operations from Mumbai.
“Our three-weekly flights serve our customers not only in providing a connection to Finland but also to our network in the US and major European cities”.
Finnair and Finavia, the Finnish airport operator, will hold a joint ceremony to mark the occasion, after which the inaugural flight from Helsinki will take off.
As a sweet treat, passengers will be served chocolates created by the world-renowned Finnish confectioner Fazer.
The flights will depart Helsinki at 17:55 and arrive in Mumbai the following morning at 5:15. The return flight departs the Indian city at 07:10 and lands at 14:05 at Finnair’s home airport.
Services have been precisely timed to facilitate connections to Finnair’s global destinations, including London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin, among other major UK airports.
Due to the fact that all services operate from the same innovative, world-class terminal, Finnair ensures a smooth and simple connection for passengers between flights in Helsinki, with transfers beginning at 35 minutes.
