As travel demand bounces back, Finnair is leading the return to Asia in 2023 by resuming flights to Osaka, Japan.

On March 26, 2023, the Nordic carrier will relaunch its well-traveled route from Helsinki to the port city of Osaka as it relaunches its Japanese network. Customers will be able to choose from three weekly flights between the two cities, which will be operated by the airline’s cutting-edge A350 aircraft.

Flights between Helsinki and Osaka will be available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with the return service departing Japan on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Return flights from London to Osaka start at £971 in Economy Class, which includes all taxes and charges.

Finnair will add four weekly flights into Tokyo Narita to its existing daily Tokyo Haneda service beginning next summer, extending the carrier’s current winter operation.

As of March 27, flights from Helsinki to Tokyo Narita will be operated on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and flights from Tokyo Narita to Helsinki will be operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Across Asia, Finnair is increasing flights to Hong Kong and Delhi, with both popular routes receiving daily service in Summer 2023.

“We are happy to be able to respond to the increasing travel demand between Europe and key Asian destinations,” said Finnair Chief Commercial Officer Ole Orvér. “In summer 2023, we will be operating 14 weekly connections between Finland and Japan, and we have daily connections to Delhi and Hong Kong. “Helsinki Airport with its spacious new facilities offers an excellent experience both for customers visiting Finland and for those who continue onwards to one of our many European destinations.”

The timing of services has been carefully planned to allow for convenient connections from major UK airports, including London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin, the capital of Ireland.

Because all Finnair flights operate from the same terminal, transfers between flights can be as quick as 35 minutes.
Finnair’s flights between Helsinki and Japan are operated in codeshare with Finnair’s long-term partners Japan Airlines and British Airways, providing customers travelling between Europe and Japan with more options and flexibility.
