Emirates has won three prizes at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2022, including World’s Best Economy Class, World’s Best Economy Class Catering, and World’s Best Inflight Entertainment for the seventeenth consecutive year.
The awards are a monument to the airline’s dedication to providing the best customer experience in the skies, with spacious Economy Class seats, expertly created cuisines, an unequalled selection of in-flight entertainment options, thoughtful amenities such as children’s toys, and much more.
At a time when cost-cutting has become the norm, the airline is making long-term investments to enhance its product and service approach across all cabin classes.
This latest award from Skytrax follows the airline’s recent statement that it will invest more than US$ 2 billion to improve its in-flight customer experience. This involves one of the largest retrofit projects in the history of aviation, including 120 aircraft that will soon feature the airline’s newest interior concepts, a new hospitality-focused service delivery model, and best-in-class product advancements in all cabins, beginning this year.
Emirates will invest over US$ 350 million in next-generation inflight entertainment systems with Thales so that passengers may enjoy the airline’s enormous library of 5,000 channels on high-definition displays, as well as a variety of other high-tech amenities on its forthcoming fleet of A350 aircraft.
Customers travelling Emirates’ Economy Class can anticipate a cuisine imbued with regional and seasonal flavours, offering hearty main dishes, side dishes, and a decadent dessert inspired by their destination, regardless of where they choose to go on the airline’s network of 130 destinations.
Emirates also takes pleasure in commemorating distinct cultures and traditions from around the world by providing trademark meals for holidays such as Diwali, Christmas, Ramadan, Eid Al Adha, Lunar New Year, and most recently Oktoberfest and Onam.
