Customers of British Airways may now use an interactive map to check the travel restrictions and entrance criteria of any destination the airline travels to.

The new page was created in collaboration with Sherpa, a global tech company that has created an online application that offers travellers with the most up-to-date travel restrictions for both inbound and outbound destinations.

This application keeps you up to date by bringing together the most recent data for over 100 nations, utilising thousands of sources and millions of data points.

The map, which the airline plans to integrate further into its website, will also assist customers in understanding what is required for their return to the United Kingdom.

Visitors to the page will be able to visually search by traffic light colour or type in their desired location to see what travel limitations each country has in place before booking a trip.

There’s also a button that lets buyers specify whether or not they’ve been vaccinated, which adjusts the findings.

“We know that travel in this new Covid-19 era can feel overwhelming for our customers, and our job is to make their lives as straightforward as possible,” said Jack Smith, British Airways’ head of digital.

“This new tool, which has been tried and is trusted by our joint business partner, American Airlines, will help people navigate the differing entry requirements, to allow for a smooth booking and travel experience.”

The existing British Airways Covid-19 hub provides information on flexible bookings, testing, how to use a voucher, and what the British Airways flying experience is like for individuals who haven’t flown in a while.
