Tata Group has taken a significant step in transforming the customer experience and operational effectiveness at Air India by deploying best-in-class IT solutions from Amadeus as part of the carrier’s revitalization.
Air India is integrating the complete Amadeus Altéa PSS suite, which includes revenue management, revenue accounting, retailing, merchandising, website, mobile, and frequent flyer programme management.
Customers and travel partners have access to a modern and effective reservation system through the platform. Additionally, the sophisticated system will provide Air India with technology that would improve its operational efficiency.
Air India’s chief commercial officer, Nipun Aggarwal, stated, “We are adopting several cutting-edge technology solutions to transform Air India’s customer experience. Amadeus Altéa PSS is the first of many such initiatives to transform Air India.”
He added that Air India anticipates collaborating with the Amadeus teams to realise the airline’s vision.
Late in May, the initial PSS cutover occurred, and a midterm roadmap was agreed upon to support the airline’s future transition.
Air India’s fleet consists of 117 aircrafts, and in addition to a robust domestic network, the airline has a distinct international footprint spanning North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
