Bengaluru, 8 April 2018: AirAsia India today announced the induction of its 18th aircraft and the introduction of four new routes connecting Kolkata. The 18th aircraft will be stationed in Kolkata, which is also the third base for AirAsia India, connecting it to Imphal, Pune, Vizag, and Guwahati, in addition to increasing the frequency of flights between Kolkata and Bagdogra.
Announcing the development, Mr. Amar Abrol, MD & CEO, AirAsia India, said, “We’re happy to be expanding our presence in Kolkata with these new routes connecting Tier II and III cities. 2018 continues to be an exciting year for us and we look forward to enabling many more people to experience affordable air travel.”
Guests can book their flights on www.airasia.com or the AirAsia mobile app and avail fares from as low as INR 1699 for flights connecting Kolkata – Vishakapatnam, Kolkata – Imphal, Kolkata – Guwahati and INR 3499 Kolkata – Pune.
Bookings for all new routes are open starting 9.30am on 9 April 2018. Effective 11 May 2018, AirAsia India will operate daily flights in the routes mentioned below:
