Air France has announced its first new summer routes for 2023, with flights to East Africa receiving special attention. The carrier has modified its Tanzania service and will add Dar Es Salam to its network as a continuation of the service to Zanzibar. Not only that, but More flights to Nairobi, Kenya, and Antananarivo, Madagascar, are also planned for next year.

From June 12th, 2023, Air France will connect Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Dar Es Salam, Tanzania. The flight will be a continuation of the service to Zanzibar, which is also in Tanzania. The carrier will operate these flights three times per week on a Boeing 787-9, with 30 seats in business, 21 in premium economy, and 225 in economy.

KLM also serves Dar Es Salam with a daily flight from Amsterdam, as part of the service to Zanzibar. These Air France-KLM Group flights will give passengers more options for making convenient connections.

Air France will operate the flights according to the following schedule:

Flight number AF876

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, the flight departs Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 10:20 and arrives in Zanzibar at 20:15. The flight leaves Zanzibar at 21:45 and arrives in Dar Es Salam at 22:20.

AF876 is the return flight (same number)

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, the flight departs Dar Es Salam at 23:50 and arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 07:55 the following day.

Next year, the African network will be more dense.
In 2023, Air France will increase its service to Zanzibar to three times per week. This route currently has two flights per week. On June 12th, the carrier will also launch a daily nonstop service between Paris and Nairobi, Kenya, using its Boeing 787-9 aircraft. It currently has six weekly flights on this route.

From next summer, Air France will offer five non-stop weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Antananarivo (Madagascar), up from the current four. These will be operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with 34 business seats, 24 premium economy seats, and 266 economy seats.
