Wizz Air, the fastest-growing and most environmentally-friendly airline worldwide*, is expanding its presence in the United Kingdom with the addition of two new routes from London Gatwick Airport.

Due to increased demand, new routes to Prague in the Czech Republic and Hurghada in Egypt have been launched and will begin on October 31.

More passengers than ever before will be able to visit the historical capital of the Czech Republic. Prague is renowned for its gothic churches, mediaeval astronomical clock, and vibrant nightlife, and has been dubbed “the City of a Hundred Spires” due to its breathtaking historical architecture. Six weekly flights will depart from London Gatwick with fares beginning at £21.99.

In Hurghada, intrepid sun-seekers can try their hand at scuba diving before unwinding on the long sand beach or perusing some of the traditional Egyptian coffee shops and souks. There are three weekly flights departing from London Gatwick that begin at £48.99.

Tickets are currently available for purchase on wizzair.com and the Wizz Air mobile app.

The update indicates favourable business expansion for the ultra-low-cost airline in the United Kingdom. Wizz Air now offers 116 routes in 30 countries from London, thanks to the new routes. The new routes will add more than 220,000 seats annually to and from the British capital.

Marion Geoffroy, managing director of Wizz Air UK, stated,  “We are seeing increased demand for more flights to popular holiday destinations and we are delighted to be able to offer greater, more flexible access to these breathtaking cities. With these two additional routes from Gatwick, we are now providing more seats than ever for passengers to travel to and from London at an affordable price. We can’t wait to see these flights take off in October.”
