Vistara has announced it will operate weekly flights from Delhi to Tokyo, starting June 16 under, under India’s travel bubble agreement with Japan. Vistara, a joint venture of Tata group and Singapore Airlines, took to Twitter to make the announcement this afternoon. The airline publicized that it will operate the non-stop flight between Delhi (DEL) and Tokyo (HND) once a week.
The Dreamliner aircraft, Boeing 787-9 with a luxurious three-class cabin configuration, will be used to serve the route. Vistara inaugurated its first Boeing 787-9 aircraft right before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic which impacted their travel in the past year and has been adding flights to destinations in Europe.

Vistara has taken the initiative to teach Japanese to its cabin crew so that they can better communicate and extend the warmth of Indian hospitality to travellers flying in from Japan.

Only eligible customers fulfilling the visa/entry regulations in both India and Japan as specified by the respective government bodies will be allowed to board the flight. Vistara has strongly advised that customers review and fully understand the guidelines and restrictions before making their bookings.
Bookings can be made directly on Vistara’s official website or though Vistara’s android and iOS apps. The cost for a roundtrip ticket from Delhi to Tokyo starts at INR 45,094 while the starting price of a roundtrip ticket from Tokyo to Delhi is JPY 90,099.
Vistara is currently under the travel bubble arrangement agreed upon by the Indian government with 24 countries. In March, the airline had introduced non-stop flights between India and the Republic of Maldives operated by Vistara’s Airbus A320neo aircraft under the travel bubble scheme.
In January, Vistara began operating flights between Sharjah (UAE) and Delhi as part of the air bubble agreements between India and the UAE. The airline also tied up with London on a bilateral travel agreement last year.
It was only a week ago that Vistara made an announcement about rolling out vaccination drives for the airline’s staff. The firm has tied up with hospitals and government agencies across their network and vaccines are being given to their frontline staff.
