Uttarakhand Eases Restrictions On Travel

On July 2nd, the government of Uttarakhand eased the travel restrictions on inter-district, inter-state and international travelers. The state also granted permission to homestays and hotels, outside the infected zones to resume their services.

According to the issued guidelines, all travelers, who are arriving from different parts of the country, need to upload their test report on the web portal https://smartcity dehradun.uk.gov.in. During the time of entry, at the border check posts, district authorities are supposed to do proper verification of the test reports of the respective person.

Hotels will also have to ensure that guests have undergone  RT-PCR tests from ICMR authorized labs. The report must be negative and should not be earlier than 72 hours from the time of arrival. Non-symptomatic tourists coming from foreign nations are required to compulsorily register themselves on the web portal. And they need to go for 7 days in institutional isolation and 7 days in home isolation.

Quarantine rules have been excluded for inter-district tourists, although they also need to register themselves on the web portal before the tour. While there is no fixed duration of stay for the travelers but homestays and hotels are supposed to have booked for a minimum of seven days. Bars located within the hotels will remain closed but hotels can serve drinks as a room service under a safe distance and safety.
