Uttar Pradesh To Develop Mathura As A Religious Tourism Hub

After the development of Ayodha as a religious tourism hub, the Uttar Pradesh government is now focusing on developing Mathura in a similar way.

Mathura will be beautified to attract tourists and develop religious tourism in the region

According to reports, Neelkanth Tiwari, Tourism Minster, UP said, “All entry points into the city will be given a unique look. The lanes will be paved with red sandstone.”

Tiwari further said that the government is keeping in mind the fact that the number of tourists coming to the Braj region will increase in the next 20 years. Hence, facilities in the city will be upgraded accordingly.

The government has also decided that all ghats of Braj will be beautified. Apart from this, the interpretation center will also be redeveloped. Under this project, drinking water points will be installed and pathways will be lighted up. Furthermore, additional parking facilities will be developed and solar plants will be erected.

Along with this, an auditorium will be constructed. A sound and light show with a new script will be conducted at the Krishna Janmabhumi premises.

Social activist Deep Sharma said the development of the Braj region includes the development of Agra. Tourists will prefer the possibilities of night stay in Agra. Sharma said, “This comes as a great help to the region’s tourism industry.”
