United Airlines Introduces Touchless Check-in At Heathrow Airport

United Airlines has introduced touchless check-in at London Heathrow Airport, as reported by Breaking travel news. This was a part of the United CleanPlus initiative that puts health and safety before the customer experience. The customers can begin by checking-in for their flight through the United app, add bags, and pay any applicable fees.

United Airlines was provided with guidance on the airline’s policies by experts in Ohio

These guidelines range from mandatory face coverings to touchless kiosk technology for baggage check-in – to ensure the industry standards are met. Customers can use the kiosks at the airport to scan their boarding passes from their mobile device or printed copy. Luggage tags associated with the reservation will print immediately. They can also self-scan their boarding passes at gate readers and are supplied with an individually wrapped hand sanitizer wipe as they board the aircraft.

United has also introduced electrostatic spraying on all aircraft before departure from London Heathrow. Electrostatic sprayers efficiently cover all surfaces of an aircraft, including overhead bins, seats, tray tables, screens, window shades, and air vents, for enhanced cabin sanitation.
