South Africa Reopens For International Travellers

South Africa has reopened its international borders to all countries including travellers from the UK and Ireland. Cyril Ramaphosa, president of South Africa, made this announcement stating that it was effective immediately. COVID-19 safety regulations remain in place, travellers will be expected to Cyril Ramaphosa, president of South Africa.

Kgomotso Ramothea, acting hub head at South African Tourism for the UK & Ireland, commented: “We are delighted with the latest announcement that South Africa has re-opened its borders to all countries including the UK & Ireland, two of its key source markets.This is a huge step in the right direction towards South Africa’s tourism recovery.”

South Africa is ready to welcome visitors ahead of its summer season

South Africa is approaching its summer season which makes it a perfect escape for travellers looking to soak up some sun during the upcoming festive season. The destination is also gearing up for several new hotel openings such as the eagerly anticipated Kruger Shalati (“the train on the bridge”) which opens next month. “We look forward to welcoming visitors to explore our country to experience our vibrant culture, incredible food and wine and awesome safari,” said Ramothea.
