Saint Lucia is frequently regarded as one of the world’s most romantic destinations, and this month sees the introduction of a full-fledged romance promotion.

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) has launched a webpage with deals from UK tour operators for couples planning their wedding, honeymoon, anniversary, or just a romantic break for two.

Caribtours, Kenwood Travel, Simply St. Lucia Luxury Holidays, and Turquoise are among the main UK trip providers taking part in the promotions.

Digital commercials, including a 15-second romantic ad that will run for eight weeks, as well as social media content and a Facebook competition to win an all-inclusive prize of five nights at Bay Gardens Beach Resort, are supporting this.

SLTA Director for the UK and Europe, Patricia Charlery, said: “We’ve seen a rise in demand for that special holiday for two in Saint Lucia. It’s the perfect setting with its stunning scenery and unique accommodation.”

The destination has seen a solid increase in monthly arrivals from the United Kingdom, which have almost returned to pre-pandemic levels, with over 7,000 UK visitors opting to visit the island in January.
