Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has been forced to cancel all sailings until the end of the May. This difficult decision comes in the face of the cruise sector’s continued struggles to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. The cancellation will impact trips from all brands controlled by the organization including Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Norwegian developing protocols to return to sailing
The cruise line has been closely working with the Centres for Disease Control & Prevention in the United States to ensure that all necessary protocols are put in place before they return to the seas. Norwegian has also revealed that it will continue to work with global government and public health authorities alongside its Healthy Sail Panel expert advisors to take necessary precautions to protect its guests and crew.
Guests who have already booked reservations on cancelled voyages have been asked to contact their travel advisor or the cruise line for more information.Â
