MSC Cruises has announced that it would base a ship in the Canary Islands for the winter of 2024-25, and sales are already open.

Between November 3, 2024 and March 16, 2025, MSC Opera will provide 7-night itineraries with six ports of call.

The ship will embark from Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Tenerife for Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, Puerto del Rosario in Fuerteventura, Funchal in Madeira, Santa Cruz de la Palma in La Palma, and Arrecife in Lanzarote before returning to Tenerife.

The revised route also provides flexible embarkation alternatives, such as Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Sundays, Las Palmas on Mondays, Madeira for Funchal on Thursdays or Fridays, and Arrecife on Saturdays.

With extended stays in ports, the new schedule allows vacationers to spend up to 16 hours in port, giving them plenty of opportunity to appreciate everything each exciting destination has to offer.

The Canary Islands and the Portuguese island of Madeira will allow travelers to immerse themselves in each destination’s rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and compelling attractions, all while enjoying the soothing warm environment, which is ideal for sightseeing and sunbathing.

Because the Canary Islands and Madeira are popular warm-weather destinations during the winter, the new curriculum is easily accessible by regular international flights to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Madeira, and Lanzorote.

The new itinerary replaces MSC Opera’s previously planned Red Sea winter 2024-25 programme, which has been canceled due to the existing risk to shipping in the region.
