Jumeirah Group, the global leader in luxury hospitality and a member of Dubai Holding, expands its international portfolio with the opening of Jumeirah Muscat Bay in the Middle East.

The Jumeirah Muscat Bay is located in a hidden cove in Bandar Jissah, between the Hajar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman, and is only 15 minutes from the capital city of Muscat. With the sea, mountains, and a historic city at its doorstep, it is the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy delightful days on the beach, explore the great outdoors through a variety of exciting wellness activities, or study the Sultanate’s rich history.

Mr. José Silva, Chief Executive Officer of the Jumeirah Group, stated, “Oman is a popular destination for those looking to combine nature and wellness with cultural interest. At Jumeirah Muscat Bay, we have focused on taking cues from the natural landscape and its restorative energy and have brought this to life through design and architecture and in keeping with the hallmarks of Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, our innovative dining concepts, signature service and exceptional experiences are well represented throughout this resort. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are delighted to open the doors to this beautiful resort and bring our brand promise of Stay Different, for the first time to Oman.”

The Jumeirah Muscat Bay will feature 206 large rooms and suites, all with breathtaking ocean views and connecting rooms for the ideal family vacation. In addition, five isolated summerhouses with two- and four-bed configurations, as well as the outstanding Sanctuary Villa, will give the ultimate in hospitality, each with a private pool, butler service, and access to a private beach. Modern arabesque design is used throughout the resort to highlight Oman’s natural beauty, while the resort’s interiors combine traditional Omani craftsmanship with contemporary hotel design.

Culinary Director Claudio Dieli, who has over 26 years of expertise in the worldwide culinary industry, including stints at a number of three-Michelin-star international hotels, will oversee the five distinct dining locations at the new resort, which will emphasise great dining experiences.

Guests can dine at the oceanfront multi-cuisine restaurant PERIDOT, which features interactive live cooking stations showcasing fresh and healthy favourites from around the world, relax over an indulgent afternoon tea in the TARINI lounge, which provides a tranquil escape from the Omani sun, or refuel, refresh, and while away the day with tasty bites at the poolside eatery ZUKA. As night sets, experience thirst-quenching creative global cocktails from expert mixologists, Asian-style signature snacks, and an excellent cigar selection at the tiny ANZO bar and terrace, which boasts breathtaking bay views. Signature restaurant BREZZA will provide a cool, contemporary setting with the best views in Muscat when it opens in September. It will serve exquisite sharing-style seafood and stunning culinary creations from Chef de Cuisine Cristiano Goattin, an Italian-born chef with a Michelin background, along with Jumeirah’s renowned mixology, available in the restaurant and at the rooftop bar.

With the opening of Jumeirah Muscat Bay, Talise Spa, Jumeirah Group’s exceptional wellness offering, will make its debut in Oman. With eight individual treatment rooms and two couple treatment rooms, the magnificent sanctuary will offer a world of wellbeing and relaxation through a selection of therapeutic and reviving treatments that can be personalised to the specific needs of each client. In addition to a Hammam, sauna, and steam room, the Pedi: Mani: Cure Studio by Bastien Gonzalez will leave guests walking on air for the duration of their stay. As a further homage to its natural surroundings, Talise Spa will also support local and eco-friendly products.

Those seeking to immerse themselves in nature and embrace their adventurous side can take on the numerous walks, beautiful running and bike trails across the Hajar mountains to enjoy magnificent views and verdant Wadis. Guests may also enjoy Sunrise Beach, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a yoga studio, and a tennis court, while a PADI-certified diving & water sports centre will help them make memories that will last a lifetime with activities like as scuba diving, sailing, and turtle snorkelling. Parents will be ecstatic to learn that the kids’ club offers an engaging schedule of daily activities involving nature, craft, adventure, and sports, with a focus on regional and seasonal themes.

Numerous historical and archaeological sites that have defined Oman’s distinctive history and culture are also accessible to explorers of all ages. Ancient UNWTO-recognized tourism settlements, old seaports, contemporary souks, and the Royal Opera House are just a few of the attractions within close reach.

In honour of its debut, the hotel is extending an unique opening offer that allows visitors to explore the adventurous country of Oman in unmatched luxury. Before September 30, 2022, bookings can receive up to 20 percent off room stays when staying for four nights or more, a free stay for one child up to 11 years old staying in the same room or suite, free Kids Club access for junior guests, and USD 100 in credits redeemable across the resort’s food & beverage and spa offerings. In addition, members of Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts’ premier loyalty programme, Jumeirah One, will receive an additional 5% off their stay and a free upgrade to the next available room category when reserving an Ocean Deluxe Room.

This new Jumeirah resort is located in Muscat Bay, Oman’s only fully integrated resort community — a stunningly magnificent natural refuge combining all modern amenities and luxury hospitality with an Omani flavour. This one-of-a-kind and expanding resort community is comprised of meticulously constructed luxury residential enclaves as well as stores, restaurants, pools, barbecue areas, and children’s play areas, all surrounded by beautifully planted gardens and parkland.
