IndiGo, the leading airline in India, is delighted to declare the launch of new domestic flights. These new flight options have been added in response to the soaring demand for travel during the upcoming holiday and festive season.

Beginning on September 5, 2023, IndiGo operates additional flights between Chennai and Pune. The airline has also introduced Pune-Rajkot flights as of September 6, 2023. In addition, flights between Pune and Hirasar will commence on 2 October 2023.

Additionally, IndiGo has rescheduled Pune-Mangaluru and Pune-Vishakhapatnam red-eye flights to a more leisure-friendly schedule and begun operations on routes including Pune-Vadodara, Mangaluru-Bengaluru, and Bengaluru-Raipur as of September 5, 2023. The addition of these new flights improves accessibility and expands options for interstate travellers from various regions.

Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, stated, “We are witnessing an upsurge in travel demand for the forthcoming festive / holiday season. A large part of this demand is coming from regional centers and as India’s leading carrier, we are doing our best to fulfil this need by adding new / additional flights on various sectors.”

He added that these new routes will further improve accessibility, mobility, and interstate connectivity. The airline recently touched the landmark of operating over 1900 daily flights, and with these additions, IndiGo is expanding its operations even further and shall endeavour to continue to provide affordable and hassle-free connectivity for our customers.

Enhanced connectivity to Pune is a response to the increased demand for travel in the state from business and leisure travellers. Over the years, IndiGo has focused on expanding its Pune base, and due to its extensive domestic reach, it operates the majority of these routes. Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri – Durga Puja, Dussehra, and additional national holidays will be observed in the upcoming months.

As a result, the travel and tourism industry is expanding operations in anticipation of an increase in passenger volume.
