Indian Government To Launch ‘Ramayan’ Cruise Tour In Ayodhya

A new cruise service is set to launch on the Saryu river in Ayodhya. The ‘Ramayan Cruise Tour’ will be the first-ever luxury cruise service on the Saryu river in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. This spiritual journey is aimed at giving devotees a one-of-a-kind experience while they cruise through the ghats to the holy river. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has chaired a review meeting for the implementation of the service.

What features will the ‘Ramayan’ cruise service have?

The cruise will have essential safety and security features while also providing a complete luxury experience. The interiors of the cruise will be based on the theme of Ramcharitmanas. It’s set to be fully air-conditioned with 80 seats and will have large glass windows to experience breathtaking views. Tourists will also have access to kitchen and pantry facilities. The cruise is environmentally friendly and will have bio toilets and hybrid engine systems. 

Tourists on the cruise will be taken on the ‘Ramcharitmanas Tour’, of 1-1.5 hour duration, featuring an exclusively made video film of 45-60 minutes duration, based on Ramcharitmanas by Goswami Tulsidas. The tour will cover a distance of around 16kms and will have several activities including a Saryu Aarti. This new cruise tour will boost tourism and also generate both direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region.
