Students from IIT Guwahati have launched a mobile application for airplane passengers. Called Flyzy, the app provides a contactless and seamless travel experience.
This software will help strengthen the aviation industry
Flyzy can help the aviation industry become future-ready to fight against viruses like COVID-19.
Dr Indu Bhushan, CEO, National Health Authority (NHA) said, “Flyzy app is capable of bringing back the pre-COVID like travel. This means that people can move around safely and stress-free without putting their lives in danger. I wish the Flyzy team of enterprising youngsters success in bringing about a positive change in the aviation business.”

Deepak Meena, CEO, Flyzy said, “Flyzy App is just a tip of the iceberg. In the future, Flyzy will be developing various in-house aviation technologies that are entirely Made in India. This will make Indian Aviation self-reliant and India the global provider of world-class aviation technology. Currently, the beta version of the Flyzy App is currently available on the Play Store for Android and soon will be available on Apple App Store for iOS.”
The app’s features ensure that the passengers have a stress-free air travel
Some of the features include universal web check-in, mobile boarding pass, live flight status, airport guide, contactless shopping, etc.
Hansraj Patel and Arjit Singh, other founding members of Flyzy mentioned that it connects all the major air-travel stakeholders at a single platform. This in turn will smoothen the travel experience and generate commercial revenues for airports, airlines, and travel-retailers.
The application is developed as per GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) and PDPB (Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019). This is done to ensure the safety of data.
Singh added, “It’s compatible with Digi Yatra, an initiative of the Central government. It integrates the Digi-Yatra ID for enabling the safest and seamless experience. Furthermore, we are in process of joining hands with all airlines, airports, and other government bodies to expand its operations across every airport of India and globally.”
