Hawaii to lift all travel restrictions as the state has seen a massive rise in vaccination rates. Hawaii has followed proper covid appropriate behavior and has also been very strict in terms of travel in and out of the state from the very beginning.

Hawaii to lift all travel restrictions as vaccination rates of the population are at 59% for single doses and 52% for completely vaccinated, As soon as Hawaii reaches a vaccination rate of 60%, the state is ready to lift pre-arrival covid testing and the need for quarantine for domestic US travelers if they have been fully vaccinated, for which they will need to show proof under the state’s ‘Safe Travels’ program. The governor David Ige has laid out a step by step plan in order to ease all Covid-19 travel restrictions. From the 15th of June, restrictions on inter-country will come to an end and those residents who are completely vaccinated and received their jabs in Hawaii will be able to return to the state without the requirement of Quarantine or pre-travel covid tests. Once Hawaii reaches a 70% vaccination rate, then the state will lift all Covid related travel restrictions and the ‘Safe Travels’ program as well.

The state started easing restrictions slowly by removing the requirement to wear masks in public for those who are vaccinated in line with the CDC guidelines which have been put out for vaccinated citizens. Their decision to ease travel restrictions in the above-mentioned phased manner is also part of the CDC guidelines. This, along with a rise in the vaccination rate has come to fruition and the state is coming close to a level of normalcy every passing day.
