Emirates will host the 80th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on June 2-4, 2024, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
IATA Director General Willie Walsh stated that they anticipate convening the aviation industry in Dubai in 2024 for the 80th IATA AGM. Dubai is an international aviation gateway and a thriving metropolis. The UAE’s approach to aviation has resulted in the development of a robust airline and hub airport. Together, they make a tremendously positive and potent contribution to the UAE’s economy and society. He added that holding the AGM in Dubai will serve as an example of what can be accomplished by the aviation industry when government policies and decisions are supportive.
Emirates Airline President Sir Tim Clark said, “Emirates is delighted to host the 80th IATA AGM and World Air Transport Summit. We look forward to welcoming all our aviation industry colleagues to Dubai in 2024.”
The decision to hold the 80th IATA AGM in Istanbul was reached at the 79th AGM.
This will be the first time that the UAE and Dubai will host the global summit of aviation’s most influential leaders.
