Emirates’ Gatwick services have been expanded recently, with double-daily flights connecting individuals and businesses across the south of England to the airline’s growing worldwide network.

UK bookings from Gatwick alone have more than doubled since the beginning of the year.

The increase in Gatwick services comes as Emirates continues to respond to the lifting of international travel restrictions throughout the world by quickly resuming flights to its hubs around the UK.

Flight EK09 will arrive at Gatwick at 18:25 today, with flight EK010 departing at 20:25 and landing in Dubai (DXB) at 07:20 tomorrow.

This service joins Flight EK015, which lands at Gatwick at 11:40, and Flight EK016, which departs at 13:35 and arrives in Dubai at 00:40 (all times local).

With the addition of the second daily Gatwick route, Emirates now has 91 weekly flights to the United Kingdom.

Both the Boeing 777 and the Airbus A380 widebody aircraft fly into Gatwick.

“We have seen a considerable uptick in demand for international travel in recent weeks, particularly from the south-east and are pleased to be expanding our operations from Gatwick,” said Richard Jewsbury, divisional vice president of Emirates UK.

He added, “Emirates is fully committed to the UK and we have operated flights from the airport for over 30 years, providing vital connectivity to Dubai and across our international network for passengers travelling for business, leisure or to visit loved ones. The route has also carried billions of pounds worth of cargo into and out of the region – supporting UK businesses of all shapes and sizes.”
