Like other nations, Egypt is also ready to welcome tourists. Egypt received a WTTC (World Travel and Tourism Council) ‘Safe Travel’ Stamp. This stamp has been designed by WTTC to assist tourists to identify destinations and businesses that have genuinely adopted its health and hygiene standardized protocols and travel safety.
Egypt is committed to the safe resumption of travels
In a Video Conference call Gloria Guevara, President and CEO, WTTC informed Dr. Khaled El-Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities said that she is pleased to see large countries and destinations such as Egypt and Slovenia joining the growing list of global destinations following our private sector protocols. This not only shows the success of the WTTC Safe Travel stamp, but also demonstrates its importance to travellers and those who work in the sector. We thank these destination countries and cities for working with WTTC and this time is the time for cooperation.” Dr. El-Enany adds that the decision is “a turning point in our bilateral cooperation with the WTTC.”
This decision proves that Egypt is ready to resume its inbound tourism with proper safety and strict hygiene safety measures from July 1, 2020. “Looking forward to welcoming you soon in Egypt’s resorts in the Red Sea and South Sinai Governorates and the Mediterranean Coast in Matrouh Governorate,” he pointed out.
