Six Senses will launch its presence in the United Arab Emirates with a 60-room hotel and 162 branded villas on Palm Jumeirah’s exclusive beach.
The Six Senses the Palm will debut in late 2024.
The architectural narrative is inspired by coral, with undulating rooflines, silhouettes, and cellular facades that resemble its natural form and beauty.
This results in shaded and sun-protected environments that are outward-looking.
The Six Senses hotel and branded residences will offer a new dimension in community living, further elevating the booming real estate and hospitality sector, as the popularity of tranquil beachside sites develops.
Emirati life revolves around the Majlis.
At Six Senses the Palm, Dubai, community and ceremony will take centre stage, complemented by nearly 60,000 square feet of amenities.
Restaurants, bars, an indoor theatre, a pool, a squash court, a kids’ club, a games area, a library, shared workspace, and function and conference rooms are among the amenities.
The resort’s central garden is another highlight.
A series of small jebels (hills), meandering valley paths, and charming courtyards dot this naturally shaded landscape.
It will serve as a hub for activities such as badminton, yoga, and football, all of which will be accessible via bridges, stepping-stone pathways, and tunnels wrapped in local beach vegetation.
The main pools and sun decks are surrounded by undulating native landscaping that stretches all the way to the beach.
Six Senses’ chief executive, Neil Jacobs, commented on the announcement and the company’s entry into the UAE market: “Six Senses the Palm, Dubai marks a new milestone for the brand as it enters this remarkable destination.
“From the bottom of the ocean to the signature rooftop bar, our concept celebrates the natural beauty of the Gulf, the solidarity and hospitality between host and visitors, and the journey that Dubai has been on, with its unique Emirati traditions and bubbling optimism for the future.”
