Dubai To Welcome Tourists From July 7

Dubai will now allow international tourists to enter from July 7th as the coronavirus lockdown continues to ease. Travelers with residency visas have begun to be let in and those wishing to enter will have to present certificates to show they had recently tested negative for the coronavirus. Visitors also have the option of undergoing tests on arrival at Dubai airports, the Dubai government media office said in a statement on Sunday. Residents and citizens of Dubai have been allowed to travel abroad from June 23.

Completed health declaration mandatory for tourists visiting Dubai

“The new announcement will allow thousands of people affected by the worldwide restrictions in passenger air traffic since the start of the pandemic to resume their travel plans,” the Dubai media office said. Further,  international health insurance, Covid-19 tests and a completed health declaration form will be made mandatory for tourists visiting Dubai.

It’s been over two months since the UAE introduced stringent measures to restrict the spread of the coronavirus. Many restrictions have been lifted in the past few weeks allowing a few flights to resume services and shopping centers and businesses to reopen. The UAE has also citizens and residents to travel to countries deemed low-risk for catching the coronavirus.
