Marriott Bonvoy®, the award-winning travel programme of Marriott International, and American Express® have introduced enhancements to the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card, which is designed to assist small business owners convert business spending into valuable travel points. In addition to the existing perks, the Card now offers new and existing Card Members a 7 percent Room Rate Discount on eligible bookings at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy®, 4X Marriott Bonvoy® points at restaurants worldwide, and complimentary Gold Elite status.

New data from an American Express survey1 reveals that 82 percent of small business owners believe cheap accommodation prices are an essential factor when scheduling travel, while 78 percent say they would extend their trip if they received a discount on rooms.

Nearly three-quarters of respondents (73 percent) concur that status with a hospitality brand influences where they book overnight accommodations when travelling for work. In addition, the majority of small business executives (67 percent) have plans to travel for work during the next one to three months, and 77 percent believe that they will extend their next business trip to include personal vacation time.
