Amadeus, a travel technology business, has entered into a new cooperation with Taxera Technologies, a next-generation global tax compliance platform.

The partnership will share e-invoice technology with travel sellers globally, providing access to faster, secure, and automated operations.

The solution is projected to grow more beneficial when e-invoicing becomes mandatory in the European Union and expands its global reach in the coming years.

When completely launched, travel sellers, including those using Amadeus Agency Manager and Amadeus Gestour, will be able to redirect time away from administrative activities and toward commercial needs.

Taxera’s managing partner, Paul Antunes, stated, “The partnership between our organisation and Amadeus will allow customers to benefit from an integration between two state-of-the-art companies, each a specialist in its own area of operations.”

He added that going forward, there will be fewer worries about e-invoice reporting, validation or formats for travel sellers, the process will be taken care of with the new offering.

Beginning this year, e-invoicing will be mandatory in several markets.

Under the European Union’s VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) initiatives, e-invoices can now be issued in accordance with new requirements. However, each market will have unique characteristics.

Through integration with the Taxera platform, Amadeus’ global travel vendors will be able to supply needed data to each governmental scheme, ensuring the delivery of a safe and certified sales record.
