Accor is pleased to announce the signing of a new cooperation agreement with Lumiere LLC for the opening of the first ibis hotel in Tashkent in 2023. It is the second joint venture between Accor and Lumiere LLC, with the opening of Mercure Tashkent scheduled for later this year.
Alexei Delaroff, chief operating officer of Accor New East Europe, commented, “We are delighted to announce the signing of another project in Central Asia and the premiere of a new brand in Uzbekistan. The popularity of Uzbekistan as a tourist destination has been growing steadily in recent years.”
He added that the ibis brand is one of the most well-known and well-liked in the Accor portfolio, and they are confident that the new ibis in Tashkent will contribute to the city’s popularity among international tourists.
“I thank our partner Lumiere LLC for their trust and look forward to many more projects together in this beautiful country,” Alexei said.
The hotel will occupy a brand-new six-story structure on Shota Rustaveli Street, close to the Mercure Tashkent. The hotel is a 6-minute drive from Tashkent’s airport and central train station, and the metro station is within walking distance. The hotel’s convenient location makes it possible for guests to visit Chorsu Bazaar, Eski Shahar Old Town, and other major attractions within ten minutes, each with its own distinct flavour. The Magic City family amusement park has rides, a playground, a movie theatre, a bowling alley, an aquarium, and a food court.
Travelers and locals love ibis hotels for their modern design, lively social spaces, rooms that feel like home, lively bars, and satisfying dining options. The design of the rooms and public areas of the new hotel will be based on AGORA, one of the brand’s global design concepts. The new hotel will provide 150 comfortable rooms for guests in the capital. On-site amenities include shops, a bar, a restaurant, and conference rooms.
